HCG Diet Meal Plan and Travel

When it comes time to start the second phase of the HCG diet, the dieter should ahead of time and planning to begin this phase at home.  When in the home, the dieter remains in an environment that is entirely controlled, and does not have to worry about the myriad temptations that they might face while traveling.

Of course, there will be times when remaining at home to begin the second phase of the diet is impossible to do.  People lead very busy lives and sometimes one’s personal schedule will interfere with one’s ability to begin the HCG diet Phase 2 at home, no matter how meticulous one’s planning.  In such cases, unexpected travel can cause the dieter to have to interrupt the HCG diet meal plan.  In fact, if the dieter has to travel for more than four days, it is highly advised that the dieter make a few changes to the 500 calorie diet until returning to the home environment.

Traveling can take a lot out of a person and the entire ordeal can prove physically and mentally exhausting, even if a person is traveling for a vacation.  Instead of maintaining a very low calorie diet, when a person is traveling for four days or more it is recommended that he or she increase the amount of calories being consumed by as much as three hundred additional calories.  An 800 calorie diet is called for when traveling so that the dieter maintains his or her energy and so that excessive hunger can be prevented.  On the third day of traveling, the dieter will want to eat more food consisting of high protein; food sources like lean meats, fish and seafood are the appropriate choices for the traveling HCG dieter.

When one is traveling, it is also recommended that he or she doesn’t interrupts the daily use of HCG injections. However for dieters relying on HCG injections, it is not an easy task. For those who can not take the daily HCG injections while traveling, they can begin the 500 calorie diet and injections upon returning to home if they travel for a period of two weeks or less.  If the travel takes more than a two week time period, however, the dieter will have to have the three healthy food loading days again and three daily injections before returning to the 500 calorie diet.

If a HCG dieter opt not to take daily HCG injections duirng extended travel excursion, he or she can stop using HCG injections three days prior to the date that the travel must begin.  This way, the dieter can have an easier time maintaining a five hundred calorie diet for the three days after the final injection is delivered.  By doing this, the dieter will not have to struggle with trying to keep to a very low calorie diet while not taking HCG daily on the road, a task that can seem nearly impossible with all of the accessible food choices available.

The dieter will need to bear in mind that any type of diet/injection interruption that occurs prior to the twentieth day of the hCG diet can lead to some of the lost weight being regained.  Of course, once the dieter returns to the strict HCG diet meal plan, the pounds will once again be shed rapidly.  If however, the dieter has to interrupt his or her diet and injection regimen after receiving the twentieth injection of HCG, then the dieter only loses time on the diet and will not regain weight lost.  Thus, the most ideal time to plan for travel is after a person has completed the twentieth injection of HCG.

Regardless of why the dieting/injection interruption had to occur, the fact that the dieter had to interrupt the rigid 500 calorie HCG diet meal plan does not give the dieter a reason to act irresponsibly when it comes to food selections. The dieter will still need to stay away from starchy foods, sugar loaded foods, and alcohol while traveling.  It is recommended that the dieter continue to consume foods on the accepted food list and to stay away from foods that they would not otherwise consume if they were still maintaining the super low calorie diet.  The traveler will want to refrain from consuming fast foods if at all possible, and when dining at a restaurant the dieter will want to choose only the healthiest food choices on the menu. Just because one is traveling, it doesn’t mean that paying attention to one’s health is not important.  While traveling, it is also recommended that the dieter continue to take any multivitamin and mineral supplements that they have been using to ensure adequate nutrition.
