HCG Diet with A Liberal 800 Calories Per Day Plan

Some dieters have tremendous difficulty maintaining the rigid 500 calorie diet that accompanies the HCG diet plan, even when using HCG drops or injections to help curb their appetite.  Thankfully, there is an 800 calorie alternative that will allow dieters to take in more healthy food selections so they can satisfy their hunger.

Even when consuming 800 calories a day, a person can expect to lose quite a bit of weight with daily HCG drops or injections.  While weight loss may not be as rapid as one might see while sticking to the original 500 calorie plan, the gradual and steady weight loss on the 800 calorie plan still proves satisfying to the hardcore dieter.

Dr. Mehmet Oz recently appeared on Good Morning America to discuss the rigidity of the 500 calorie per day Dr Simeons HCG diet. According to Dr. Oz, the 800 calorie HCG diet is a more sensible approach to weight loss. He explained that the HCG diet is a temporary diet that can be used to drop pounds dramatically, but that when eating only 500 calories a person does not necessarily master healthy eating habits.  Dr. Oz further argued that it is necessary to work toward changing one’s eating habits for the better and it should be the ultimate goal of the dieter.

Since you will be using HCG drops or injections, you will be automatically releasing abnormal fat stores in the body by the third day you are on the plan.  These fat stores are then burned by the body to provide you with the energy you need.  The latter fat stores, plus a 500 calorie diet proves adequate for some people, while others find that they still crave food and nutrients.  This is when an 800 calorie plan becomes ideal; if you try the 500 calorie diet and you find yourself battling hunger all the time, it is perfectly safe and acceptable to up your caloric intake to as much as 800 calories every day.

Some people consider 500 calorie diet borders on starvation, which is far to constricting while the 800 calorie diet proves more acceptable to modern nutritionists who believe you can get more nutrients from ingesting a greater amount of healthy calories.  Dieters are finding they experience greater comfort levels when consuming 800 calories and fewer struggles with the side effects associated with a very low calorie diet and continuous hunger.  With fewer struggles to face, experts are finding that dieters are achieving greater long term success with the HCG dieting plan today.

Whether you choose the 500 or 800 calorie plan, you will definitely want to include breakfast in your daily meal plans.  You cannot skip breakfast while on the plan and expect to be successful in losing weight; eating a meal early in the day helps to naturally steady out your metabolic processes throughout the entire day.

Increasing your daily caloric intake to 800 calories doesn’t mean you can eat whatever you want. You are advised to consume more protein, no sugars, and very few carbohydrates while on the 800 calories diet.  An increase in protein intake helps the dieters to keep muscle mass intact.  What’s more, consuming more protein helps the dieter curb unwanted hunger too.

Even as you increase your caloric intake to 800 calories, you will still have to maintain adherence to the original HCG protocol established by Dr. Simeons some fifty years ago when he discovered this powerful dieting method.  This means that you will still want to create your food selections out of the acceptable foods prescribed by Dr. Simeons, and that you used HCG supplements for the required amount of time in order to achieve successful weight loss. The period of use for HCG products can range from 21 to 40 days depending on how much weight you need to lose.

You will also still need to engage in very moderate, low impact exercise: this means that you will want to engage in an exercise like walking for at least a half hour every other day.  Excessive exercise can lead to excessive fatigue, body cramps, and hunger.  It is not recommended that you participate in resistance training since you have significantly reduced your caloric intake.

In the first phase of the 800 calorie HCG plan, you will do away with foods containing high fructose corn syrup, fast foods, colas, sweets, starches, and fried foods.  You will also do away with foods containing antibiotics, preservatives, additives, pesticides, artificial sweeteners, alcohol, and flavor enhancers.  For best results it is recommended that you invest in a colon cleansing product, and that you eat organic food offerings.

No matter what calorie plan you ultimately choose, experts also recommend that you incorporate minerals and vitamins into your daily intake.  This means you will want a multivitamin supplement.  Experts also recommend that if you choose to use HCG injections, that you work closely with a knowledgeable doctor who can monitor your progress.

I agree with the 800 calories over the 500. I am going to start Round 2 after New Years and increase to between 600 and 800 calories. I am also going to continue taking vitamins. I had one major side effect and that is I lost alot of hair. It was about 2 months after my first round of the HCG drops. Will see how it goes after Round 2. I lost 23 pounds in 6 weeks, which I was very happy about.

Thanks for the advise. I agree that an 800 calorie diet would be good rather than the 500. I did the HCG 500 calorie diet for 6 weeks and lost 23 lbs. I have gained 8 back, mostly due to the holidays and not watching what I am eating, but I plan on going on a second round of the HCG Lean 2000 drops after New Years. I will do between 600 and 800 calories a day and also continue to take my vitamins. The only side effect I had, which was a big one, was I started shedding alot of my hair. That started happening about 2 months after I was off of the HCG drops. I do not know if that was because of the HCG drops, the 500 calorie diet or not taking any vitamins. It will be interesting to see how it goes after this adjustment to the diet. Cheers and Happy New Year.
